Dexter Beef

Our Dexter beef comes from cattle born, bred and reared on our upland Cumbrian farm. They grow slowly on a grass diet, conserved as silage and hay for the winter, so they take longer to finish than would be the case on a more commercial farm, but the benefit is a mature tasty meat full of flavour. This is enhanced by dry aging the carcase for a minimum of 3 weeks before it's cut and packed in our small on-farm butchery.
