Local Deliveries

If we can deliver ourselves there will be no charge for orders £70 and over and a £7 charge for orders under £70. Use the postcode checker to see if that is an option for your address. For some areas we offer fortnightly and monthly delivery dates not weekly.

For other parts of Cumbria and when farm work prevents us doing no more than very local deliveries, we will send orders with our local courier APC. A courier delivery is also an option if you require your meat during a week we don't deliver to your area.

Next day Courier Service

For customers who live further afield we send our orders with an overnight courier service, APC. They deliver to addresses throughout the UK where they can offer a next day delivery service. Unfortunately, that means we cannot always deliver to the Scottish Highland and Islands, Northern Ireland, and Isle of Man. But do email us if you want an order to one of these areas and we will investigate other options.

Courier deliveries are on Thursday’s, if you need your delivery on a different day please email and we will try our best. We try and avoid Friday and weekend deliveries, if the courier has a problem and a parcel goes astray it would be Monday before it would be delivered which is no good for perishable meat.

If you choose “any time” the delivery charge is £15.00 and the minimum order value (excluding the delivery charge) is £50. For “before noon” deliveries the charge is £24.00 and the minimum order value is £50. There is no delivery charge for orders over £130 sent on an ‘any time’ service. If you spend more than £130 we will give you a discount to the value of £15.00, you can still choose the ‘before noon’ option and will just pay the courier surcharge for timed deliveries.

To help our couriers we ask that you give us alternative delivery arrangements advising where your order can be left if you are not at home. For example ‘ with neighbour at no 22’ or ‘in the garden shed’.

If your order is late arriving and you have selected an ‘any time’ delivery we would ask that you call us if you haven’t received your parcel by 4pm so that we can chase up delivery. Similarly, if you have requested before noon and your parcel still has not arrived by 2pm. The courier will have your email address and will send a message confirming delivery. If you receive that email and have not got your parcel please contact us immediately.

Your order is packed in an insulated box with ice-sheets. This will keep your order chilled for at least 48 hours, but our aim is to get it to you in less than 24 hours.
