Thanks for visiting our online shop. The last delivery date for orders being sent by courier is 7th December. In December some markets change weeks, we reccommend ordering for collection from farmer markets at this time of year to guarantee supply. The dates for farmers market dates in December are: Barnard Castle 2nd (1st Saturday); Orton 9th (2nd Saturday); Kendal - 15th (third Friday); Stainton and Brampton - 16th (third Saturday). Orders can be collected from the farm butchery on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd December as well as our normal Thursday and Friday slots the previous weeks. For items not showing in the shop that you'd like to order please email for availability.

Description

The venison rump, from the back leg, is small, just big enough to cut 3 very tender steaks, they're not as square and even as a haunch steak and there is quite a bit of variation in size between the three so in terms of presentation on the plate they can be a bit of a challenge, but for flavour and tenderness they are almost as good as loin.

The images in our online shop and weight options are indicative. Our animals are not a uniform size, and there is variation in the level of marbling and fat cover on our beef. As a result, we cannot guarantee the meat you receive will look exactly like the photograph, and sometimes it’s not possible to achieve the higher weights, particularly of steaks. You will only be charged for the weight of meat supplied.
