It's a quiet start to January as our first beef won't have completed its 3 weeks maturing until the end of the month. The first date for deliveries, local and by courier is: January 29th 2026. Our only farmer markets in January are Kendal 30th and Brampton 31st. Back to normal in February with Barnard Castle on the 6th, Orton on the 14th, Kendal on the 27th and Brampton on the 28th. Local deliveries and collections are as listed in the online shop.

Description

A lean tender soft mince, ideal if you're making low fat dishes, it's a favourite for chili, bolognese and 'shepherds pie' and can be used as a substitute for beef mince in almost all dishes. If you'd like your mince with a bit more texture select the coarse mince option. As we have to change the mincer plate to do this we need a minimum order of 1kg.

The images in our online shop and weight options are indicative. Our animals are not a uniform size, and there is variation in the level of marbling and fat cover on our beef. As a result, we cannot guarantee the meat you receive will look exactly like the photograph, and sometimes it’s not possible to achieve the higher weights, particularly of steaks. You will only be charged for the weight of meat supplied.
