Thanks for visiting our online shop. We have now closed our shop for deliveries by courier until 2026. The next date for Mail Order delivery is: January 29th 2026. The dates for our farmers market in December are:- Barnard Castle 6th (first Saturday), Kendal 12th (second Friday), Orton 13th (second Saturday); Kendal 31st (early this month) and finally Brampton 20th (early this month). Local deliveries and collections are as listed in the delivery options but can be arranged at other times, please get in touch.

Description

Also known as Flat Rib and Jacob's Ladder, the Short Rib is the beef version of pork spare ribs, but a lot more meaty. It needs a long slow cook and then the meat is really soft and full of flavour. We normally sell it as a plate of 3 or 4 ribs but if you'd like it cut into single ribs just let us know.

If this cut is unavailable for your chosen delivery date we'll be in touch with confirmation of our earliest supply date. You can order well in advance for a specific date and we will reserve the meat for you, subject to availability when you order.

The images in our online shop and weight options are indicative. Our animals are not a uniform size, and there is variation in the level of marbling and fat cover on our beef. As a result, we cannot guarantee the meat you receive will look exactly like the photograph, and sometimes it’s not possible to achieve the higher weights, particularly of steaks. You will only be charged for the weight of meat supplied.
